About The Position
The Housekeeping Aide supports the childcare center by maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for children. The role includes janitorial work throughout the building, classrooms, and playground, as well as cleaning and maintaining school equipment and facilities. The aide also helps put up and remove seasonal decorations and displays.
Requirements
- Be comfortable working around children.
- Be willing to learn and grow in a team environment.
- Meet state education requirements and the center/school requirements.
Responsibilities
- Keep the building, classrooms, and playground clean, safe, and orderly.
- Perform janitorial tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows and restrooms, and gathering and emptying trash.
- Clean school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls.
- Clean restrooms and refill dispensers.
- Assist with putting up and removing seasonal decorations and displays throughout the year.
