About The Position
The Housekeeping Aide supports the childcare center by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the building, classrooms, and playground. The role includes janitorial duties, cleaning equipment and facilities, restocking restroom dispensers, and helping manage seasonal decorations and displays. The position works in a childcare setting and requires comfort working around children.
Requirements
- Comfortable working around children.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.
- Must meet state education requirements and the center/school requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the building, classrooms, and playground in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Complete janitorial tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows and restrooms, and gathering and emptying trash.
- Assist with cleaning school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls.
- Clean restrooms and refill dispensers.
- Assist with putting up and removing seasonal decorations and displays.
