Lead, Systems Engineer (Operations Analysis - Model and Sim) - Top Secret Clearance

L3Harris Technologies•Palm Bay, FL
•$127,000 - $236,500

About The Position

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer in Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) to join the Mission Analysis Group (MAG). The role is based in Herndon, Virginia, or Palm Bay, Florida, and supports development of analytic toolsets for constructive simulation and experimentation across multiple domains. These capabilities support customer engagements, proposal efforts, and advanced concept exploration for internal stakeholders and external contract customers. The selected candidate will coordinate MS&A engineering efforts, integrate system performance and behaviors into operational analysis, and design and maintain simulation capabilities and analytic toolsets. The work includes developing models, simulations, and analysis products; integrating government and commercial simulations, frameworks, models, and tools; and supporting requirements development, system verification, and CONOPS development. The role also includes documenting reusable simulation capabilities, supporting technical presentations and knowledge sharing, and coaching junior technical staff. The position uses a 9/80 schedule: employees work nine days out of every 14, totaling 80 hours, with every other Friday off. Relocation assistance is available to qualified applicants. The role requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI/SAP. The salary range stated for California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, the Greater D.C. area, Denver, and NYC is $127,000–$236,500; final compensation may vary based on experience and location. Benefits include health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. Benefit availability may vary by hire date, schedule type, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
