About The Position

The Lead Surveillance Agent protects the assets of Cactus Pete’s Casinos and Hotels and directs the day-to-day operation of an assigned shift and its team members. The role supervises shift operations, ensures duties are performed, and supports staffing, training, and team development. The Lead Surveillance Agent must understand departmental policies and procedures, internal controls, and Nevada Gaming Commission (NGC) Controls, and report deviations to the director. The position also performs all duties required of Surveillance Agents.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of all table games dealing procedures.
• Working knowledge of video equipment and ability to operate it.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Professional and investigative attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written business communication skills and strong time-management skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to maintain visual focus on various monitors for extended periods.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in the gaming industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day operation of an assigned shift and team members.
• Supervise and direct assigned shift operations and ensure activities and job duties are being performed.
• Know departmental policies and procedures, internal controls, and all parts of the Nevada Gaming Commission (NGC) Controls; report deviations to the director.
• Coordinate team member schedules, breaks, and PTO to ensure staffing complies with NGC regulations.
• Advise the Manager about agents’ performance, activities, and development.
• Keep the Manager informed of pertinent information regarding the Surveillance Department.
• Provide on-the-job training for the assigned shift and conduct training classes as required.
• Perform all duties required of Surveillance Agents.
