About The Position

Manage the buying process for a defined set of goods and suppliers supporting multiple internal Wind customers as a Lead Buyer for the Pensacola site. Apply sourcing policy and serve as the interface between suppliers and the entity regarding specifications and budgets. The role requires in-depth understanding of key business drivers and how the team’s work integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. This is an individual-contributor role focused on executing activities and providing advice within an enabling discipline, using professional judgment and standard functional practices and procedures. The role operates with some autonomy and may require guidance from more senior colleagues. It may also provide informal guidance to new team members.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in Sourcing & Buying-Procurement.
Minimum of 5 years of advanced experience in Sourcing & Buying-Procurement.

Responsibilities

Place and follow up on purchase orders for assigned commodities and suppliers according to the global sourcing fulfillment operation strategy.
Manage supplier relationships for purchase-order execution, including problems and schedule changes.
Update the ERP system and build and maintain a common line of balance for the site.
Apply prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy and strategy.
Communicate with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations and provide informal guidance to new team members.
Prioritize information for data analysis and use technical experience and analytical thinking to support decision-making.
Use technical expertise, judgment, and multiple internal sources to solve problems and make decisions.
