The Lead - Shipping will play a vital role in supporting the company's mission and ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 6 months+ warehouse or shipping experience
  • Basic math skills to count IT equipment with speed and accuracy.
  • Use organizational tools such as internal computer software to locate and gather stock with handheld devices, and bar code scanners.
  • Able to get forklift certified within 3 months

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Preferred IT or relevant electronic experience.
  • Knowledge of how to use a shrink wrap machine.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach and mentor a warehouse staff of 3 - 6 employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of orders and shipments to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and achieve shipping deadlines consistently by delegation of workflow and priority.
  • Maintain employee records: weekly timecards, attendance points, annual reviews, PEs, write-ups, etc.
  • Ensure accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
  • Accurately pull IT equipment, verify, and scan items to create stock transfers and BOL’s utilizing the OFT dashboard.
  • Store items in bins, shelves, or other specified locations; update locations, maintain stock, and notify appropriate personnel of all discrepancies.
  • Work from shipping papers, bill of lading, packing slips, work orders and written and verbal instructions.
  • Use hand carts, mobile pallet jacks and motorized forklifts to safely transport and load/unload parts and materials.
  • Exercise proper care and use of equipment and materials.
  • Perform warehouse duties in all areas of the warehouse as assigned or directed.
  • Includes sitting, standing, bending, twisting and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Other duties as assigned by department.
