The Lead SEL Teacher (Hooks) will serve as an exemplary teacher and instructional leader within the relevant content area. Their classroom will function as a model for effective instruction. This role involves a full teaching load alongside responsibilities in planning and facilitating new teacher orientation, professional development sessions, and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). The lead teacher will also manage the ordering of materials, distribute resources, and organize common assessments and testing materials. A key aspect of the role is data analysis, leading teacher teams in interpreting assessment data to guide instruction, and supporting the development of common assessments aligned with Massachusetts Frameworks. The position requires active participation in various professional development activities, including PLCs, faculty meetings, and professional learning academies. Additional duties may be assigned by the principal, and responsibilities may extend beyond the regular school day and school year.
