Lead Sales Associate (part-time)- Perry Ellis
About The Position
The Lead Associate’s primary function is to sell and promote Perry Ellis merchandise by executing Perry Ellis customer service standards. The Lead Associate supports the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Supervisors in helping the store meet its goals and standards for financial performance, customer satisfaction, and visual presentation. The role includes providing excellent customer service, promoting merchandise and the loyalty program, maintaining product knowledge, and supporting store operations and visual standards. The Lead Associate steps in when a supervisor or keyholder is not present.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of retail experience.
- Energetic and positive attitude.
- Flexible availability and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Outgoing, friendly, personable, customer-service-oriented approach with a positive attitude.
- Ability to move and/or lift up to 25 pounds.
- High school degree.
Responsibilities
- Consistently provide customer service to company standards and lead the team in doing so.
- Generate sales in accordance with Perry Ellis customer service standards.
- Build a repeat customer base through effective Perry Ellis Loyalty Program data capture.
- Maintain knowledge of products, promotions, and special events to communicate effectively with customers.
- Foster a positive store experience by treating customers and staff fairly and consistently.
- Maintain floor coverage, acknowledge every customer, and prioritize customers over assigned tasks.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication and manage time and priorities.
- Step in when the supervisor or keyholder is not present.
- Keep merchandise stocked to appropriate levels on the sales floor.
- Maintain the store’s visual presentation and appearance.
- Minimize shortages by following loss-prevention procedures and provide customer service to help prevent theft.
- Understand store sales plans and results.
- Follow operational policies and procedures.
- Support execution of pricing strategies and store planograms.
- Support and understand the company’s brand position.
- Replenish merchandise on the selling floor as needed.
