About The Position

The Lead Rehabilitation Technician provides person-centered support to individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and spinal cord injuries (SCI), helping them regain independence. The role combines hands-on client care with leadership and support for Rehabilitation Technicians. Responsibilities include coaching, training, scheduling, and supporting high-quality services that promote safety, growth, and collaboration. The position is based in East Lansing, Michigan, at an E.L. residential location, on a 3rd shift schedule for 40 hours.

Requirements

• Two-year degree from an accredited college or university; equivalent leadership experience will be accepted with a high school diploma or G.E.D. in lieu of a two-year degree.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass background checks and fingerprints.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight for Rehab Tech I, II, and III staff.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.
• Attend to administrative needs and coordinate with medical providers.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, and medications.
• Support community outings, transportation, and activities.
• Build positive relationships with clients and encourage independence.
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
• Provide training and support to the team.
• Coordinate scheduling.
