About The Position

The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer will build out dedicated quality ownership for Eolas's products, specifically their AWS-hosted, AI/ML-driven risk platform delivered through app.eolas.co and their companion mobile app. This is an automation-first role, utilizing Playwright for scalable coverage and employing manual and exploratory testing for areas not yet automated.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including experience owning QA for a SaaS product end to end.
Experience testing across both web and mobile applications.
Proven track record scaling automated test coverage (Playwright experience preferred).
Experience with API testing and tools like Postman.
Familiarity with AWS-hosted applications and CI/CD pipelines.
Comfort testing AI/ML-driven features and the data pipelines behind them.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for cross-functional teams.
A strong problem-solving mindset and a bias toward action in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

Build and own the QA strategy across web and mobile, replacing ad hoc coverage with a consistent, repeatable process.
Define test plans, coverage standards, and quality gates for every release.
Partner with engineering and product leads to shape acceptance criteria before work starts.
Design and maintain automated test suites for regression, integration, and API coverage.
Run manual and exploratory testing on complex risk workflows and AI/ML-driven features.
Own bug triage, tracking, and reporting through to resolution.
Work closely with frontend, backend, and product teams to catch issues early in the cycle.
Validate integrations with client property management systems.
Support release readiness reviews and go/no-go calls.
Select and maintain QA tooling, and wire automated testing into CI/CD.
Define and track quality metrics, including defect escape rate and test coverage.
Mentor other team members on QA best practices as the function and team grow.
