About The Position

This role involves adhering to safety regulations, coordinating with various departments and suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring quality control through calibration, inspection, and procedure development. The position also includes training responsibilities and maintaining a clean work environment. Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
- Industrial production experience preferred
- Familiarity with measurement equipment and procedures
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and drawings, handbook specifications, equipment manuals, parts lists, and other written materials
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety regulations and/or directives
- Fill in for QC Supervisor during his/her absence
- Coordinate reject metal returns for proper credit from suppliers
- Complete calibrations
- Reconcile COC inventories of held product working with the Plant Controller and Production Planner
- Work with metal suppliers, preparing paperwork and labeling coils for proper return and credit
- Inventory reject coils and heads/tail collected on all sizes of metal
- Coordinate reinspection / sampling of held product
- Direct and follow projects with little or no supervision
- Demonstrate the ability to learn how to create files and set up procedures in the QA/S system
- Complete forms and reports as required, both manually and electronically
- Assist with reduction of HFI in Hold Area as needed
- Maintain clean work area and perform other cleaning duties as assigned by Management
- Assist in training other employees and Management Trainees as required
- Attend training sessions as required
- Exercise proper care and protection of company property
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management
