The Supply Chain function is essential to Tropicana Brand Group’s success by enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products. By improving warehouse operations, optimizing transportation routes, and refining inventory management practices, the team plays a critical role in streamlining processes. Collaborating with other departments to align strategies, the Supply Chain team ensures that Tropicana meets customer demands while maintaining a high standard of performance and cost-effectiveness. Through their efforts, they contribute to both short-term achievements and long-term growth. Your Next Pour: The Opportunity We are looking to add a Quality Analyst to our team. This role will be responsible for Supports Operation teams to align and achieve food safety and quality standards, through daily execution of quality systems, best operating practices, and processes to eliminate defects and reduce variation. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 5 experience in quality space
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, Sanitation, and Quality Systems.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment.
  • Ability to work independently and flexible work hours, good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to recognize and work through complex, ambiguous and time sensitive problems, analyze and develop solutions using a logical thought process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels within the facility.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at the work site
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Sciences, Microbiology, Science, Engineering or related fields
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be located in Bradenton, Florida surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
  • Willingness to be onsite daily in the Tropicana Bradenton, Florida office

Responsibilities

  • Administer policies and procedures from HACCP, Food Safety Plan and Food Defense Plan
  • Supports key food safety pre-requisite programs such as: GMP compliance, sanitation, regulatory audits, oPRP, PC, & CCPs, Food Safety Management System, PRPs Traceability, Mock exercise, Recall Procedure
  • Conducts internal audits and participates in external audits. Audits include: QAS/QSA, ISO FSSC 22000, AIB, GMP, FDA, USDA, Walmart Audit.
  • Consumer Complaint investigations and responses
  • Ensures compliance to Certification Programs: Kosher, Halal, Non-GMO, Rainforest Alliance, Organic System Scorecards, Management Review, documentation and recordkeeping
  • Conducts New Hire Training and Quality related training for all employees in the facility.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to assist teams to solve operational and Quality issues
  • Report deviations from established standards and policies to insure prompt and immediate root cause and corrective action. Uses SCR/CAPAs to resolve deviations.
  • Be able to lead in-process sensory programs as needed; routinely performs sensory testing.
  • Supports R&D tests
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of production processing and packaging and impact on quality
  • Manage non-conforming goods by the segregation, tagging, sampling, disposition, and communication of held raw materials, work in process, finished goods and Scrap Authorization process.
