Lead Project Planner and Scheduler

GE Vernova•Atlanta, GA
•$100,000 - $166,700

About The Position

The Lead Project Planner and Scheduler develops and maintains integrated schedules for a large portfolio of projects, supporting project reporting and on-time delivery analysis while meeting Gas Power New Combine Cycle customer requirements and contractual, PMO, and global planning standards. The role focuses on Primavera P6 scheduling, supply chain integration, and concurrent engineering, connecting engineering, procurement, and construction so schedules reflect design progression, material lead times, and field execution. The position leads baseline development and re-baselining and performs critical path analysis to help mitigate delays that could affect contractual dates. The role receives and validates bid schedules during ITO/OTR handovers, assesses whether proposed schedules are feasible, supports contract kick-off meetings, and tracks open scheduling actions. It develops Level 2 and Level 3 integrated schedules, aligns engineering and sourcing commitments, and integrates supplier lead times, manufacturing cycles, logistics durations, and purchase order dates. During execution, the scheduler updates the master schedule monthly, monitors progress and float, manages constraints and risks, coordinates schedules across project units, and recommends mitigation strategies. The position also maintains Primavera P6 as the single source of schedule truth, supports integrations with tools such as Unifier, Pulse, WIPT, and Tableau, presents schedule updates to internal and external stakeholders, and supports extension-of-time and cost claims with delay analysis. It facilitates lessons learned and promotes standardized scheduling processes across teams. GE Vernova describes its work environment as offering professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. The stated U.S. pay range is $100,000 to $166,700, with geographic differentials potentially applying, and discretionary annual bonus eligibility. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage; health and employee assistance resources; retirement savings and company contributions; tuition and adoption assistance; paid parental leave; disability benefits; life insurance; 12 paid holidays; and permissive time off.
