About The Position

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. We are seeking an experienced Lead, Project Management professional to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects and programs. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while aligning with organizational goals and driving stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in dynamic environments.

Requirements

  • This position will require you to work onsite at our downtown Phoenix location 4-5 days a week
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, complex projects or programs
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar)
  • This position is for a government client and we can only hire US citizens.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification
  • Experience in government, transportation, or regulated industries (e.g., DMV, ADOT)
  • Background in digital transformation, cloud migrations, or system modernization initiatives
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party partners

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management across multiple initiatives, ensuring successful delivery
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business priorities
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, operations, and external partners
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Establish project governance, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate effective communication across all levels
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and best practices
  • Support change management and ensure successful adoption of project outcomes
