About The Position

Sika is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Lead Production Operator to join its Insulation team in Greer, South Carolina. The role operates a production station and manufacturing equipment, leads daily production activities, and serves as backup to the supervisor as needed. The Lead Production Operator helps meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets while maintaining shop 5S standards, supporting equipment setup and changeovers, and guiding production operators and material handlers. The role also serves as the primary contact for shift-related production issues and promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to organize and plan.

Responsibilities

• Operate an assigned production station and manufacturing equipment daily; perform production tasks and serve as backup to the supervisor as needed.
• Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets while maintaining shop 5S standards.
• Monitor production schedules and verify output meets established quality standards and customer requirements.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, startup, and shutdown procedures.
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with quality specifications and work instructions.
• Investigate quality concerns and process deviations, and support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Provide direction and training to production operators and material handlers on equipment operation, standard work procedures, and safety requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for shift-related production issues.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
