Lead Product Manager

UKG•Lowell, MA
•$133,900 - $190,750•Hybrid

About The Position

At UKG, we are building an AI-first suite that inspires organizations to become great places to work through HR, pay, workforce management, and culture technology. We are hiring a Lead Product Manager to own category execution on the Frontline Worker Network, a UKG-owned network delivering experiences that connect shift and hourly employees with curated services in the flow of work. You will take a category from a partner-defined service to a lovable, native-feeling experience inside the UKG Pro app — working directly with partners to define placement, messaging, and onboarding in the flow of work, and running the conversion funnel that turns awareness into enrollment. This is a product-led growth mandate inside an enterprise platform: you bring the instincts of a consumer growth PM — funnel design, experimentation, activation — to a surface used by millions of frontline workers. This is a Lead-level individual contributor role on the Frontline Worker Network product team, reporting to the Principal Product Manager, Frontline Worker Network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6+ years of product management experience, including direct ownership of a conversion funnel or growth loop for a consumer-facing or consumer-grade product
  • Experience designing and running structured experimentation (A/B testing) to improve activation, conversion, or engagement
  • Experience shipping a product or feature through a surface or platform owned by another team, without formal authority over it
  • Experience working with an external partner or vendor whose service is delivered as part of the customer or user experience
  • Strong, detail-oriented craft sense for in-product experience design: placement, messaging, onboarding flows, and friction reduction
  • Comfort working with data: defining funnel metrics, interpreting analytics, and using them to prioritize
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to make a clear case for an experience or experiment to both design-minded and data-minded partners

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in product-led growth (PLG) or consumer growth roles, ideally in a B2B2C or employer-sponsored benefits context
  • Embedded finance or financial wellness experience, particularly with products delivered through an employer or other trusted intermediary
  • Experience in a regulated or consent-heavy domain, including how consent is obtained and honored and how disclosures are handled
  • Experience building products for deskless, hourly, or mobile-only worker populations
  • Experience with personalization, recommendation, or eligibility-based matching logic in a customer-facing product
  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms (e.g., workforce management or HCM) as the surface for a consumer-style experience
  • Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end worker-facing experience for one or more categories on the Frontline Worker Network: partner with the category and partner teams to translate a partner’s service into a lovable, native-feeling experience inside the UKG Pro app, in the flow of work.
  • Design and run the conversion funnel for each category — awareness, placement, eligibility and consent, onboarding, activation, and ongoing engagement — treating it as a consumer growth funnel, not a static integration.
  • Own the growth metrics for each category: impressions, click-through, enrollment, activation, and retention. Set targets, run experiments, and iterate based on data.
  • Design and run structured experimentation (A/B and multivariate tests) on placement, messaging, timing, and onboarding flows to improve conversion, in partnership with engineering, design, and data science.
  • Translate the platform’s eligibility, consent, and placement standards into detailed requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria for a specific, polished category experience.
  • Partner with each service partner’s product and marketing teams to align on experience design, co-branding, and the handoff points between UKG-owned and partner-owned surfaces.
  • Ship through a surface you do not own: work closely with the UKG Pro product and engineering teams to get placement, prioritization, and design changes delivered inside their roadmap and release cadence.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative research — customer insight, usability testing, funnel analytics — to continuously improve the worker-facing experience.
  • Report on category performance against conversion and revenue targets, and feed learnings back into the platform’s placement and recommendation logic.
  • Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate experiment design, data analysis, and content or UX iteration.
