Lead Product Manager, Enterprise Data Model

MaintainX (An Autodesk Company)•San Francisco, CA
•$182,000 - $266,000

About The Position

MaintainX is hiring a Lead Product Manager for its Core Division, within the Enterprise Knowledge pillar. This team is responsible for how large, multi-site customers define, standardize, and govern operational data. The role owns a foundational company-level initiative to reshape the product’s core so it can serve the world’s largest operators while continuing to support existing customers. The work aims to help MaintainX serve larger customers and open new revenue opportunities. The position owns strategy, roadmap, and execution for an enterprise-grade product foundation, progressing from an early design-partner alpha to broader adoption across multi-site enterprise accounts. It involves determining architectural evolution, building the case and investment plan, consolidating overlapping systems, and defining migration and deprecation plans that avoid leaving customers midway through a transition. The product manager will resolve questions about change propagation, corporate and site-level control, and existing-data migration, and will lead customer discovery through recurring design-partner sessions and prototype-driven research. The role partners with Engineering, Design, go-to-market teams, and executive leadership to translate the architectural shift into revenue, new customer segments, larger deals, and a stronger enterprise offering. MaintainX is part of Autodesk’s Operations Solutions organization. Compensation may include base pay, commission, an annual bonus, and equity, depending on the role. Benefits vary by country; the posting directs U.S. candidates to Autodesk’s benefits information and notes that plans differ elsewhere.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of product management experience.
  • At least 5 years of platform or core-product work at an enterprise SaaS company, focused on foundations such as entity models, permissioning, or configuration frameworks.
  • Strong systems thinking, including the ability to reason about cascade/override policies, hierarchy schemas, cardinality, and migration states, and to discuss trade-offs with staff engineers as a peer.
  • A hands-on discovery approach, including personally running design-partner sessions and allowing evidence to override opinion.
  • A track record of sequencing multi-year foundational work while shipping customer-visible value each quarter.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in CMMS, EAM, or industrial operations.
  • Experience migrating customers from SAP PM or Maximo-class systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own strategy, roadmap, and execution for a new enterprise-grade foundation, from early design-partner alpha through broad adoption across multi-site enterprise accounts.
  • Define the product’s architectural evolution for larger customers and develop the business case, sequencing, and investment plan.
  • Consolidate overlapping systems into a coherent model, with a migration path and deprecation sequence that does not strand customers mid-move.
  • Resolve product decisions around change propagation, corporate and site-level control, and migration of existing data, establishing clear rules for teams building on the foundation.
  • Run the design-partner program, including recurring customer sessions and prototype-driven discovery, and translate evidence directly into the roadmap.
  • Take major structural redesigns from specification to validated model in an additive, non-breaking manner for existing customers.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, GTM, and executive leadership to turn the architectural shift into revenue, new segments, larger deals, and a stronger enterprise story.
  • Sequence multi-year foundational work while shipping customer-visible value each quarter.

Benefits

  • Compensation may include commission, an annual bonus, and equity, depending on the role.
  • Benefits vary by country; Autodesk provides information about U.S. benefits, and benefits plans in Canada and other countries differ in health coverage, retirement, and leave.
