Lead Product Manager – Legal Practice Areas

Wolters Kluwer•Torrance, CA

About The Position

The Lead Product Manager provides customer- and market-driven product leadership for one or more legal practice areas within the Legal Markets Group portfolio. The role serves as a subject-matter expert and market interpreter, translating customer needs, legal developments, and competitive dynamics into product and go-to-market direction. It partners closely with Editorial and other Product Managers to align customer insight, content strategy, and commercial execution. The position may also contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives requiring legal or market expertise. The role owns product direction and execution for assigned practice areas, from discovery through ongoing optimization, and serves as the product authority on legal workflows, customer jobs-to-be-done, and use cases. It leads practice-area go-to-market execution and supports Marketing, Product Marketing, and Sales with legal-content validation, launch readiness, customer engagement, and competitive positioning. Although the role does not own the content roadmap, it ensures the roadmap is informed by customer and market needs through close collaboration with Editorial leadership and the Lead Product Manager responsible for that roadmap. The Lead Product Manager monitors adoption, usage, retention, customer feedback, revenue, and pipeline signals; identifies opportunities to improve positioning, packaging, messaging, and cross-sell or upsell; and provides input to pricing and portfolio discussions without owning pricing governance.
