About The Position
Sandbar is seeking a Lead Product Designer to lead the design of Stream, a new conversational interface and private voice ring. The role spans the end-user experience, including UI/UX, multimodal interactions, agentic control, information representation, and personality. The designer will work closely with software engineers, machine learning engineers, and the founders to shape the design of a new computer.
Requirements
- Experience developing design systems spanning multiple platforms.
- Experience shipping iOS-based apps.
- Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for large language models.
- Portfolio of prior work.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with novel form factors, inputs, audio, or vision.
- Experience in non-software design disciplines such as architecture or industrial design.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product design spanning visual, AI, and interaction design.
- Ideate, prototype, and evaluate novel software features.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to scope and implement new experiences.
