About The Position

Escape Velocity is seeking a seasoned Lead Producer to lead development of a new intellectual property and help deliver a major new title. The role requires senior project leadership, experience building new IP and growing teams, and the ability to support creative leaders in realizing their vision. The position works with internal and external teams across multiple locations and partners closely with the Creative Director, Producers, and VP of Product. Escape Velocity is a fully remote studio supporting team members nearly anywhere in the world. Requirements

10+ years in internal game development.
Experience building and leading teams across multiple locations.
Experience building AAA games.
Ability to guide and lead staff across production and creative disciplines while ensuring a healthy level of push and pull.
Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence as a leader capable of rallying a team.
A calm, stable approach to managing complex problems.
Ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
Resourcefulness, self-motivation, and ability to act autonomously.
Ability to balance production and creative needs to support informed decisions.
Ability to identify and analyze risk and provide mitigation.

Responsibilities

Manage internal and external teams across multiple locations to meet production schedules and deliver the project to quality, time, and budget expectations.
Support the Creative Director in maintaining a coherent creative vision throughout the development life cycle.
Work with Producers to develop product budgets and schedules across the team.
Partner with the VP of Product to ensure core development processes are followed consistently.
Mentor producers at all levels and support their growth and career development.
Set coherent goals for the team at each milestone and ensure they are understood and executed.
Coordinate and assist with focus testing, outsourcing, and other external parties as required.
Identify and analyze risks and provide mitigation.
