About The Position

As a Lead/Principal Consultant AI Solutions, you will transform AI potential into real business value. You will identify opportunities, build solutions, and ensure their successful delivery. You will be responsible for complex AI engagements from start to finish, including identifying the right use cases, developing the business case with our AI Strategy & Value Practice, designing the solution architecture, and leading a team to achieve results that clients can rely on. You are equally comfortable guiding the direction in executive-level discussions as you are hands-on during tight deadlines or turbulent project phases. You have a proven track record of successfully completing challenging work under pressure and uncertainty, measuring success by your clients' outcomes rather than the deliverables you hand over. Internally, you will play a key role in our AI-native transformation, shaping how we use AI within our own practice and setting the standard for the team.

Requirements

• Technical background in AI/ML with practical experience: You have built, trained, or deployed models in a professional environment, e.g., as an ML Engineer, Data Scientist, or AI Researcher.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering multiple significant projects from start to finish, even under tight deadlines and changing requirements, with full accountability for the outcome.
• More than 8 years of professional experience, with a relevant portion in client-facing or cross-functional roles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead project teams successfully: You manage experienced experts and develop junior consultants alike, through genuine technical depth, determination, and sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
• True client focus: You quickly build trust and prioritize client outcomes in every decision.
• Ability to navigate diverse audiences: communicate clearly and credibly with executives, engineers, and scientists.
• Solid understanding of the AI landscape: LLMs, Generative AI, MLOps/LLMOps, and current best practices for AI in the enterprise.
• Fluent German and English language skills.

Nice To Haves

• PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience in consulting, with a management consultancy, technology company, or specialized AI boutique.
• Expertise in AI compliance, Trustworthy AI, or AI security.
• Industry knowledge in one or more sectors, such as energy, manufacturing, financial services, or retail.
• An existing professional network in the DACH AI ecosystem.
• Publications or public presentations on AI topics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of complex AI projects from proof-of-concept to production, managing scope, quality, and timelines under pressure.
• Lead AI strategy workshops and assessments with C-level decision-makers to identify high-impact AI opportunities.
• Guide project teams to successful outcomes, making critical decisions to keep delivery on track and building client trust.
• Design and conceptualize AI solutions across the spectrum, including Generative AI, classical Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and MLOps/LLMOps.
• Advise on build-vs.-buy decisions and evaluate models, technology stacks, and infrastructure options for enterprise clients.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, anticipating needs, identifying further value-adding AI initiatives, and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Contribute to new project proposals and actively drive discovery and scoping conversations with potential and existing clients, translating their needs into clearly defined, actionable engagements.
• Drive Perelyn's AI-native transformation by pioneering the use of AI tools, workflows, and methodologies within our own practice.
• Contribute to knowledge building through publications, conference presentations, workshops, or client-focused thought leadership.
• Mentor and develop consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high standards.
• Shape service offerings and methodologies based on current AI trends, including AI compliance and security.
