About The Position

As Paint line Lead, you will assume a leadership role within the Paint department, responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of the paint team. You will ensure that production goals are met, quality standards are upheld, and safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding all powder paint processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to identify and address paint line -related issues.
  • Oversee paint inspections and quality control procedures to ensure that painted components meet industry standards, codes, and customer specifications.
  • Address any quality issues or non-conformities promptly.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a painter role in a manufacturing powder coat process environment, with some supervisory or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of painters and helpers, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure efficient and high-quality assembly.
  • Perform advanced paint line tasks and demonstrate best practices to the team.
  • Coordinating production schedule.
  • Monitor and ensure that all painted parts meet quality standards and specifications, conducting inspections as necessary.
  • Drive to line balancing and volume loading of parts.
  • Train and mentor painters and helpers, especially those at the entry level, in painting and hanging techniques, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate and assign tasks, adjusting work assignments as needed to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Identify and address issues and collaborate with team members to find solutions.
  • Enforce safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety within the paint team.
  • Maintain detailed records of paint processes, quantities, and quality checks.
  • Continuously improve paint processes to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
  • Minimizing down time and looking for bottle necks to trouble shoot.
  • Ensure that tools and equipment are in good working order and arrange for necessary maintenance and repairs.
  • Work closely with other departments and communicate with supervisors and managers to optimize production operations.
