This role involves loading and unloading parts on a paint line, monitoring for issues with steel/parts such as missing welds, components, pierce holes, excess oil, or rust. The technician will also hang and remove part racks from the line conveyor, maintain a clean work area, and assist other areas of the line as needed. Responsibilities include pre-loading parts, wiping off burn-off parts, identifying and sorting out parts with bad paint, and carefully packaging parts in appropriate containers with correct dunnage to prevent scratches. The role also requires operating counting scales for accurate pack quantities, recording production and suspect parts in Plex, and completing first and last piece inspections for all automotive jobs.
