About The Position

This role is for a Lead Night Supervisor within Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services residential treatment team. The position focuses on ensuring the safety, well-being, and accountability of children in care, providing primary supervision for staff and students during the assigned shift, and offering crisis prevention and intervention support. The Lead Night Supervisor will also participate in new employee orientation and ongoing training, and communicate daily with program leaders. Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services is a psychiatric residential treatment program offering 24-hour out-of-home residential services for children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive differences. The program aims to help individuals achieve social, emotional, behavioral, and educational goals, and return home. Services are provided to children and adolescents aged 6-21 with diagnoses including autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric challenges, often associated with trauma. The program emphasizes Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS) to create safe and supportive living environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services required discipline to include but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation, criminal justice, counseling.
  • Two years supervisory experience required.
  • Two years experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavioral disorders.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license must be maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety, well being, and accountability of all children in our care
  • Provide primary “first-line” supervision for staff and students during assigned shift
  • Provide crisis prevention and intervention support, guidance, and feedback to direct reports
  • Participate in the orientation of new employees and provides ongoing employee training
  • Communicate with program leaders daily
