About The Position

This role supports associate engagement by providing learning opportunities, building relationships, offering cross-training, and encouraging teamwork. The Lead, Operations ensures work assigned by management is completed, prioritizes assignments using policies, data, and resources, and collaborates with various stakeholders. They create and monitor work plans, recommend staffing levels, and adjust staffing and priorities throughout the shift to meet deadlines. This role helps resolve day-to-day operational challenges by communicating with the salaried manager, monitors and ensures One Best Way standards are implemented, and drives improvement through Walmart Performance System practices. The Lead, Operations owns the daily management system process for their assigned area, tracking and trending key performance indicators, identifying gaps, and assigning countermeasures. They serve as a subject matter expert, identify necessary resources, and support teams by sharing information, coordinating assignments, and providing feedback. This role requires the ability to execute all roles within the department with flexibility. They develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs, demonstrating, promoting, and supporting compliance with company policies and ethical standards. Requirements

  • 1 year experience as a Walmart Supply Chain associate OR 1 year experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution center environment.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust staffing and priorities throughout the shift to meet deadlines by talking with associates to solve problems, resolving delay issues to stay on schedule, and using systems to audit progress and identify concerns early within a shift.

  • Monitors and ensures One Best Way standards are implemented.
  • Drives improvement through implementing Walmart Performance System practices.
