About The Position

This position assists the Director of Pharmacy in supervising the department, training new pharmacists, and ensuring all medications dispensed comply with State and Federal regulations. The role focuses on optimizing pharmacy operations within an interdisciplinary comprehensive Cancer Center.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy Program.
Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of practice.
Ability to use the Pharmacy computer system at an acceptable level after instruction.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the disease and age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.
Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their therapy, and to provide the pharmaceutical care needed.
Willingness to accept “call back” when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Completed an ASHP accredited residency program in Oncology.
Other advanced training/certifications such as Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist.
