About The Position

Join the Hematology/Oncology team as a full-time Oncology Infusion Pharmacist, contributing to safe, high-quality care throughout patients’ cancer treatment journeys. Work directly with oncologists, advanced practice providers, infusion nurses, and other clinical team members to review and verify oncology treatment orders, support chemotherapy and infusion services, and provide medication expertise to patients and the care team.

Requirements

• PharmD degree.
• Active North Carolina pharmacist license.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative, patient-centered approach to oncology care.

Nice To Haves

• Oncology or infusion pharmacy experience.
• PGY1 or PGY2 oncology residency and/or BCOP certification; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, biologic, and supportive-care orders.
• Verify dosing, laboratory values, treatment parameters, drug interactions, and medication safety.
• Support safe and timely preparation and dispensing of infusion medications.
• Provide real-time pharmacy support to providers and infusion nurses.
• Assist with medication education, adverse-effect management, and medication-safety initiatives.
• Help manage oncology medication inventory, shortages, biosimilars, and medication waste.
• Participate in quality improvement and the development of safe oncology medication processes.
