The Lead Technologist performs essential duties in one or more sub-specialties of the Clinical Laboratory in a highly competent manner. In addition, he/she provides technical expertise to staff and others and acts as the Manager’s designee in performing delegated tasks. The Lead Tech collaborates with the manager in making decisions in compliance with existing policies, procedures, or instructions.

Requirements

  • HIGH SCHOOL OR GED

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years clinical laboratory experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited Medical Technology program is preferred
  • ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) or NCA (National Credentialing Agency) Registry preferred
  • Specialist certification desirable

Responsibilities

  • Performs essential duties in one or more sub-specialties of the Clinical Laboratory in a highly competent manner
  • Provides technical expertise to staff and others
  • Acts as the Manager’s designee in performing delegated tasks
