About The Position

As the Lead Certified Medical Assistant, you will provide both hands-on clinical and administrative support while serving as the primary supervisor for the medical assistant team. In addition to carrying out the duties of a medical assistant, you will oversee daily workflows, scheduling, and documentation to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care. The Lead Medical Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for medical assistants regarding policies, procedures, and task assignments. This role includes training new staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to compliance and quality standards. You will work closely with providers and report directly to the Performance Improvement Manager, providing updates on team performance, workflow efficiency, and patient care outcomes. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner, while ensuring your team does the same.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years Minimum Experience as Medical Assistant
  • Registered Medical Assistant Certification Required
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office, & minor database retrieval.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in multiple EMR’s
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and effectively.
  • General medical office procedures.
  • Front Office/ Admin expertise.
  • Chronic Disease management, understanding of HEDIS, preventative health measures, and experience working with a Geriatric Population.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
