About The Position

The MA IV works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA IV is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I, MA II, and MA III roles. In addition, the MA IV serves in a leadership role or is highly skilled and trained in multiple complex specialty areas, and oversees ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic. The position is with Pacmed Clinics DBA Pacific Medical Centers, part of Providence, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, mutual respect, and empowering caregivers.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited medical assistant school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting; or graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program; or completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
Three years of medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.
Three years of experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
Six months of working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last three years, or 18 months of experience in a Lead MA role in a clinical setting in lieu of that experience.
