The Lead Diesel Mechanic is responsible for leading the maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of diesel trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and stationary processing equipment. This hands-on leadership role ensures equipment is maintained safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards while minimizing downtime and maximizing operational productivity. The Lead Mechanic will serve as the technical expert within the shop, providing guidance to other technicians, assisting with complex diagnostics, prioritizing repairs, and ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are followed. This position requires advanced troubleshooting skills, strong leadership abilities, and extensive experience working on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, heavy construction equipment, and industrial processing equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience repairing: Class A diesel trucks, Trailers, Wheel loaders, Excavators, Dozers, Skid steers, Conveyors, Trommel screeners, Horizontal grinders, Stationary processing equipment. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a high level of accountability, leadership, and commitment to workplace safety.
