About The Position

The Lead Math Tutor manages a small caseload of middle or high school students and delivers daily, high-dosage math tutoring using Saga’s curriculum and instructional model. The role provides individualized instruction during multiple class periods and facilitates small-group learning, independent practice, assessments, progress monitoring, and high-rigor math activities for students who are not in direct tutoring sessions. Lead Tutors build supportive relationships with students as mentors and advocates and help lead day-to-day operations at the school site. The position also contributes to tutor onboarding and development, data-informed instructional planning, family and school engagement, and consistent implementation of the tutoring program. The Lead Tutor works with the Site Coordinator and Program Manager, participates in regular observations and professional development, and may lead professional development sessions and contribute resources to a tutor best-practices library. This is an in-person, full-time role scheduled Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours per week during traditional school hours. The stated start date is August 17, 2026. The role ends in June 2027, with the specific end date based on the assigned school district calendar. Compensation is $23 per hour. A $500 relocation assistance payment is available to those relocating more than 50 miles.
