Job Description Job Summary Performs and directs varied electrical, and basic instrument and control and basic mechanical maintenance activities and other duties necessary to maintain the generation facility and high voltage substation to which they are assigned. What you will do Responsible for and directs the overall electrical, and basic instrument and control and basic mechanical maintenance functions to include but not limited to the following: Performs and/or directs the electrical and basic instrument and control and basic mechanical troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, cleaning, inspecting and constructing of equipment and systems for the generation facility. Performs and/or directs maintenance of electrical equipment at a large steam electric generating station and high voltage substation. Maintains, installs and/or directs maintenance of the basic plant control systems and related activities. Directs others to and/or maintains, calibrates, assists with required testing of equipment and systems. Assures that all documentation is performed. Maintains maintenance and related records. Coordinates small projects performed with either in-house or outside resources. Participates in outage planning and coordinates outage work projects and activities. Directs, operates and/or obtains information from various basic mechanical and electrical devices used to support specific equipment diagnostics or work activities; gathers, interprets and logs data. Supports safety, plant reliability, productivity, and plant efficiency improvements by participating in continuous improvement activities. Directs the performance and is responsible for the safety and orientation of assigned employees. Performs and/or directs other duties which are similar, related, or incidental to this position. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED Required Experience 3 years journey level experience in the electrical trade. Completion of a State Approved Apprenticeship Program. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated ability to solve problems. Possesses necessary skills in basic instrument and control and basic mechanical. Ability to work from blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Familiarity with steam plant cycles and operations Must possess technical ability Knowledge of company safety rules High degree of mechanical and/or electrical aptitude Strong leadership ability Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years journey level experience in the electrical trade.
