About The Position

The Mail Center Lead provides support to daily Mail Center operations by taking a lead role in the processing, preparation, and delivery of incoming and outgoing accountable mail and packages. They will oversee the daily activity of Mail Center coordinators, truck drivers and Sr. coordinators, providing guidance, resolving problems, and providing training as necessary. Provides support to daily Mail Center operations in the processing, preparation, and delivery of incoming and outgoing mail. Oversee the receiving, sorting and distribution of mail to and from the store courier, USPS Mail and commercial couriers in accordance with prescribed Mail Center schedules. Oversee the process of tracking Home Office packages and work with FedEx to ensure timely delivery. Oversee the daily schedules of Mail Center associates, coordinating special projects, mail delivery and collection. Primary trainer of new Mail Center associates to ensure departmental procedures and policies are followed. Provides guidance; identifies, researches and resolves issues as necessary. Provides coverage and assistance to Mail Center associates as necessary. Monitor and order supplies as needed. Maintains equipment and ensures proper function, calls in service as needed. Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned or directed by management.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years mail center or related experience.
  • 1-2 years leadership experience
  • Large corporate environment work experience highly preferred.
  • Microsoft Office experience required, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Must thrive in a busy atmosphere with a resourceful and problem-solving mindset.
  • Must be able to multi-task, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks.
  • Mastery of all services performed by the Mail Center, including familiarity with U.S. Post Office and FedEx services and products.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Requires flexibility in performing various job duties.
