About the position
As a Senior/Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Neara, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing the utilities industry by developing optimized 3D graphical user interfaces and building scalable physics simulation engines. Your main responsibilities will include generating accurate models from imperfect data using deep learning and classical algorithms, developing intelligent network scale insights, optimizing training pipelines, and creating real-time data structures for large datasets. Additionally, you will work with various data sources such as LiDAR, aerial photography, and structured data. Your expertise in software development and machine learning, particularly in Python and C++, will be essential in mentoring other engineers and building best-in-class software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Developing approaches to generate accurate models from imperfect data using deep learning and classical algorithms
- Developing approaches for intelligent network scale insights
- Developing and optimize training pipelines
- Developing data structures that can perform in real-time with user interaction on large underlying data sets
- Working with a variety of data sources, including LiDAR, aerial photography & photogrammetry, and structured data
- Putting software engineering skills to the test in organizing functionality for many use cases in a complex domain
- Mentoring other engineers in best practices
- Background in software development and machine learning coupled
- Superb working knowledge of Python and C++ (Java is a plus)
- Passionate about Machine Learning and building best-in-class, complex software solutions
- Expert in Deep Learning and can bring new ideas to the business on how best to solve customers' unique problems in the software platform.
