About The Position

We are looking to add a Line Cook to our team. The position pays $20 per hour. A high school diploma or GED and previous experience are a plus but are not required. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of professional cooking, basic techniques, food knowledge, safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures; previous prep or line cook experience; and professional communication skills. Requirements

A thorough and deep understanding of professional cooking, including basic techniques and working food knowledge.
Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
Previous prep or line cook experience.
Professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

Set up the station in time for service according to restaurant guidelines.
Prepare food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the chef or restaurant.
Restock items as needed throughout the shift and take inventory after service.
Clean and maintain stations while practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
Understand how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station.
Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef or Sous Chef.
