About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Lead Line Cook to join our team! Lead your team in the kitchen while preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating an exceptional dining experience through quality food. You should have previous experience as a cook and are able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere. Ideally, you have your ServSafe Food Handler’s certification or certification in the New York Food Protection Course.

Requirements

Previous experience as a breakfast cook preferred
ServeSafe or Food Handlers certification (or must be willing to attain)
Effective communication skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Ability to work standing for 8+ hours

Nice To Haves

ServSafe Food Handler’s certification or certification in the New York Food Protection Course

Responsibilities

Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
Prep, season and cook food according to recipes
Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
Place bi weekly food orders according to business needs
Assist General Manager with monthly inventory counts
Assist General Manager with hiring and training new staff
