About The Position

The Lead Inventory Control position is in the Warehouse department and is responsible for auditing, packing, shipping, reporting on, and tracking parts inventory. The role works closely with the Customer to ensure shipping accuracy. The position reports to the Operations Manager and has no direct reports. The employee must be comfortable with changing temperatures within a warehouse environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately and provide instructions to other associates as needed.
• Ability to understand, follow, and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Ability to reach, bend, climb, and safely lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed due to customer demand.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer 1–3 years of prior experience operating a forklift in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and efficient cycle counting.
• Periodically audit counts returned from the floor and ensure returned stock is accurate.
• Complete required paperwork and reporting on time as needed.
• Assist with warehouse organization and operational improvements.
• Account for defective or damaged product and follow appropriate corrective actions.
• Make continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
• Follow up with the Customer as needed.
• Provide backup support as needed.
• Operate forklifts as required.
