About The Position

Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Integrations Engineer for its Finance Technology (G&A FinTech) team. As an early leader in this space, you will shape the architecture, standards, and long-term vision for how Finance operates in an AI-first environment. You will partner with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Procurement, Internal Audit, Corporate IT, Data, and GTM Systems to keep the back-office technology stack reliable, integrated, compliant, and ready for a public, AI-forward SaaS business. The role owns the roadmap, health, and governance of platforms such as ERP and financial systems, procure-to-pay, revenue and billing systems, and related integrations and automation. You will design and integrate business-critical projects and systems using Workato, resolve integration and operational issues, support SOX audits, and identify automation opportunities. You will also reimagine Finance workflows and build AI-powered workflows, copilots, and agents that automate and augment Finance processes and improve execution and decision-making. You will help establish an AI-first operating model by identifying opportunities to replace manual workflows, defining success metrics, and partnering with Internal Audit, Security, Legal, and Global IT on compliant and ethical AI deployment. You will enable Finance teams to use Workato and AI through reusable frameworks, workflows, playbooks, and training materials, helping non-technical stakeholders confidently use and iterate on platform tools.

Requirements

At least 5 years of engineering or data engineering experience.
At least 2 years building with Workato, AI/ML, or LLM-powered solutions that deliver tangible business outcomes.
Ability to set technical direction and build 0-to-1 systems with meaningful organizational impact.
Strong experience with Workato or a comparable platform.
Experience with Python, SQL, and modern APIs.
Experience with LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini.
Experience designing AI-powered workflows, agents, or copilots.
Experience integrating with Finance Systems through Runlayer and MCPs.
Experience integrating enterprise financial SaaS systems.
Experience designing scalable systems, automation frameworks, and internal tools.
Experience working with sensitive data.
Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into scalable technical solutions.
Passion and curiosity to experiment with and reimagine Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Record to Report workflows.

Nice To Haves

Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, Zip, Avalara/Vertex, or Zone Advanced Billing, or equivalent systems.
Familiarity with SOX and ITGCs.
Familiarity with middleware automation platforms such as n8n, Workato, or Zapier.
Experience in high-growth SaaS environments.
Contributions to AI governance, internal AI platforms, or experimentation frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design and integrate business-critical projects using Workato.
Support business-critical integrations and resolve ME/QE and operational issues.
Lead SOX audits and drive them to closure.
Identify automation opportunities that improve business productivity.
Reimagine Finance workflows, including accounting, procurement, deal desk approvals, revenue, and the ME/QE close cycle, through an AI-first lens.
Design and build AI-powered workflows, copilots, and agents to automate and augment Finance processes.
Enable AI use cases that improve execution speed and decision-making for Finance teams.
Translate stakeholder business problems into scalable AI and automation solutions.
Identify high-leverage opportunities to replace manual workflows with automation and AI-native solutions.
Define and track success metrics related to efficiency gains, time savings, and operational effectiveness.
Partner with Internal Audit, Security, Legal, and Global IT to support compliant and ethical AI deployment.
Align with Security, Global IT, and GTM Systems on shared infrastructure and standards.
Democratize Workato and AI use among Finance teams by creating reusable frameworks, workflows, playbooks, and training materials.
Help non-technical stakeholders confidently use and iterate on Workato and other platform tools.
