Youth Athletes United is seeking Lead Instructors to coach TGA youth Tennis, Golf, and Pickleball programs. The programs aim to make children’s first sports experiences fun while teaching sports fundamentals, life skills, and healthy habits. Coaches lead classes for children ages 5–13, generally with 7–10 students. Assistant Coaches are assigned to classes with more than 10 students. Lead Coaches use the curriculum to facilitate classes and lead the Assistant Coach. The coaching approach emphasizes individual attention, fun and non-competitive classes, positive reinforcement, and a stress-free environment. Coaches are expected to welcome feedback, follow the TGA Coaching Manual, and attend additional training as needed. New Coaches may work 4–20 hours per week and earn up to $27 per hour. Most classes take place after school and on weekends. Weekday classes typically begin between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.; listed availability times are Monday–Friday, 2:00–5:00, and weekends, 9:00–1:00. Classes take place at schools, parks, and recreation centers throughout Somerset and Hunterdon Counties. Coaches may need to travel up to an hour to reach a class location.
