About The Position

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing. The Lead Institutional Automation Quality Control Analyst will define and implement the overall test automation strategy, including tooling, scripting, and architecture. They will evaluate and recommend new testing tools and technologies, exploring AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and coverage. Collaboration with Development and Product Owner teams is key to understanding requirements and translating them into comprehensive test automation strategies. Integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, test data strategy, and performance/security/load testing are also core responsibilities. The role involves monitoring automation metrics, reporting on test execution status, solving complex technical problems, and mentoring less experienced teammates. Adherence to risk and regulatory standards, promoting a culture of belonging, and maintaining internal control standards are also essential.

Requirements

Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust automation frameworks (UI, API, and performance).
Experience in defining and implementing overall test automation strategy, including tooling, scripting, and architecture decisions.
Experience in evaluating, recommending, and implementing new testing tools and technologies.
Experience in exploring ways to improve testing efficiency and coverage through AI-assisted tools and practices.
Experience collaborating with Development teams to understand system architecture and implementation.
Experience collaborating with Product Owner teams in sprint planning and backlog grooming to understand product requirements and acceptance criteria.
Experience translating product requirements into comprehensive test automation strategies.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using pertinent tools.
Experience reviewing code and test scripts for quality, scalability, and maintainability.
Experience driving test data strategy and environment management for automation needs.
Experience contributing to performance, security, and load testing strategy and implementation.
Experience continuously monitoring and improving test automation metrics and KPIs.
Experience publishing automation test execution status reports with traceability of test coverage at feature level.
Experience communicating test status to stakeholders.
Experience solving complex technical and operational problems.
Experience serving as a resource for less experienced teammates.
Understanding and adherence to Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain scalable and robust automation frameworks (UI, API, and performance).
Define and implement the overall test automation strategy, including tooling, scripting, and architecture decisions.
Evaluate, recommend and implement new testing tools and technologies; explore ways to improve testing efficiency and coverage through AI-assisted tools and practices.
Collaborate with Development teams to understand system architecture and implementation.
Collaborate with Product Owner team by engaging in regular sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions to understand product requirements and acceptance criteria, translating them into comprehensive test automation strategies that ensure coverage of both functional and non-functional requirements.
Collaborate with engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using pertinent tools ensuring seamless and efficient test execution throughout the development life cycle.
Review code and test scripts to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.
Drive test data strategy and environment management for automation needs.
Contribute to performance, security and load testing strategy and implementation.
Continuously monitor and improve test automation metrics and KPIs.
Publish automation test execution status report with traceability of test coverage at feature level and communicate it to stakeholders to ensure their awareness of progress and identify any issues upfront.
Solve complex technical and operational problems.
Serve as a resource for less experienced teammates.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports a culture of belonging and reflects the Bank brand.
