About The Position

Diversified is hiring a Lead ESS Installation Technician to perform installation work on client technology projects and lead other installation technicians at project sites. The role is a key field position responsible for carrying out work in client buildings and interpreting drawing packages to build completed systems. Work may include rack and enclosure buildouts, panel terminations, device IP configuration and installation, testing, and troubleshooting. The Lead Technician is responsible for the most complex system designs and coordinates with project management, field superintendents, clients, contractors, and subcontractors. The position often operates independently on job sites, sometimes as the only senior field supervisor. It involves delegating and monitoring work, communicating with key stakeholders on behalf of the project manager, and making sound onsite decisions with diplomacy. The technician must follow job schedules, keep project records and inventory information current, identify issues promptly, and escalate equipment, labor, or technical needs. Work may take place at construction sites or in normal office settings, with applicable site safety rules and PPE requirements.
