About The Position
Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Insurance Agent in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The agent will build and manage an agency serving educators, helping them find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security. The role offers a dedicated Service Representative to handle client service work, an exclusive territory, technology and training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs. No external office is required for the first two years. Compensation is performance-based under a 1099 arrangement, with activity- and success-based incentives and quarterly production incentives during the first 48 months.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong business management skills.
- Hold resident-state General Lines Insurance Licenses, including Life and Health and Property and Casualty licenses.
- Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.
Nice To Haves
- Two to five years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred).
