About The Position
BrightPath Kids is seeking a full-time Lead Infant Teacher for its Princeton, New Jersey center. The teacher works alongside other teachers and families to provide children with a home-away-from-home experience, following NAEYC guidelines. The role is assigned to one classroom and involves caring for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. The position offers daytime work with no evenings or weekends.
Requirements
- An Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Head Teacher certification, or 15 credits in Early Childhood Education courses.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized.
- Ability to work within regular operating hours.
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
Nice To Haves
- 2 or more years of experience in a licensed child care facility.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom.
- Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
- Develop programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
- Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
- Partner with families to create plans that provide appropriate care and education for their children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
