About The Position

StarChild Academy, part of Endeavor Schools, is hiring a Lead Infant Teacher to help create a positive learning environment for children. The teacher develops and implements age-appropriate curriculum, plans engaging activities that support cognitive, social, and emotional development, and assesses and documents student progress. The role focuses on children’s development, safety, and well-being, while creating a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. The employer describes a supportive work environment and offers education incentives and career development programs. The starting pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two to five years of prior experience working in a certified child development center.
Prior experience with the assigned age group.
Meet specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members.
Patience, collaboration, creativity, and passion for early childhood education.
Candidates may be required to complete Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Early Childhood Development or CDA certification preferred.
