About The Position

The Lead HVAC Installer leads installation projects from start to finish, guides helpers, ensures quality and safety, and completes jobs efficiently. The role includes performing full system change-outs, maintaining customer homes and work areas, and explaining completed installations to customers. The installer is expected to follow company policies and procedures, maintain required production levels, and contribute to a professional, friendly work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend, and reach overhead.
• Ability to climb and work on ladders.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to braze and solder equipment as needed.
• Drug testing, background checks, and a valid driver's license are conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation projects from start to finish and guide helper installers.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff, and coworkers.
• Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and promote a professional, friendly work environment.
• Work hard, smart, and efficiently while following company policies and procedures.
• Wear floor savers and use drop cloths to protect customers’ floors during installations.
• Keep work areas neat and clean, and keep trucks clean inside and outside.
• Re-check each aspect of an installation using the Installation Excellence Form before leaving to prevent callbacks.
• Explain the system to the customer after installation and ensure the customer is fully satisfied.
• Work safely on the job and while driving, and ensure assistant installers also work safely and neatly.
• Maintain the production level minimum established by management and the annual plan.
• Perform full system change-outs in a timely manner as determined by the manager.
• Adhere to company policies and codes when performing installation jobs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
