About The Position

R & T Yoder Electric, Plumbing, & HVAC, Inc. is hiring a full-time, experienced Lead HVAC Installation Technician in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves installing and maintaining residential and/or commercial HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and training junior team members. The position offers pay of up to $50 per hour depending on experience, a $3,000 sign-on bonus, monthly bonus opportunities, a company vehicle, and uniforms. The company is family-owned and operated and has served the Central Ohio region for over 20 years.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of HVAC field experience.
• Knowledge of residential and/or commercial HVAC systems and local codes.
• Understanding of refrigeration cycles.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivation and excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly in layman's terms.
• Service orientation and ability to establish rapport with people.
• Respect for others and their personal property.
• Punctuality, reliability, and pride in one's work.

Responsibilities

• Remove old HVAC systems.
• Install new HVAC systems.
• Perform routine maintenance.
• Train junior team members.
• Communicate with clients and customers.
• Order and maintain equipment.
• Run pipe and duct systems through homes.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Interpret technical data, including pressure and temperature.
