Lead Hand Operator, Highway Maintenance
About The Position
Ledcor Highways Ltd. (LHL) is offering exciting road maintenance opportunities across Ontario, providing year-round employment with long-term contracts. You will be responsible for winter and seasonal maintenance of Ontario highways, using various trucks and heavy equipment.
Requirements
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks
- Must possess a valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with air endorsement
- Must provide a copy of a 3-year driver’s abstract
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
Responsibilities
- Assist Foreperson with daily tasks including safety toolbox meetings, equipment inspection, and road condition inspection reports
- Support Foreperson in the planning of work to meet contractual milestones
- Monitor the quality of work performed by the crew
- Operate equipment on work sites as needed
- Help ensure health, safety, and environment related concerns are addressed promptly
- Work outside in all weather conditions
