Lead Forklift Operator - Spanaway, WA
About The Position
The Lead Forklift Operator assists the Warehouse Supervisor in leading a team of associates to meet goals for productivity, quality and customer service, workplace safety, and employee relations. When the supervisor is not present, the Lead Forklift Operator serves as team lead by answering employee questions, troubleshooting problems, and promoting efficient operations. The role directs and coordinates warehouse operators handling the loading and unloading of trucks and proper product handling, assists operators as needed to support customer satisfaction, helps maintain warehouse security, and assists with training new and current operators. The position is located in Spanaway, Washington, and pays $23.75–$24.75 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of warehouse or inventory experience.
- Experience managing people and budgets.
- Computer and database application skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to operate a lift truck.
- Forklift certification required upon commencement of work.
- Ability to lift and/or pull 50 pounds without restriction.
- Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and potentially holidays as needed.
Nice To Haves
- 2 or more years supervising warehouse or inventory staff.
Responsibilities
