About The Position

The Lead Food Service Supervisor performs a variety of kitchen responsibilities as assigned and/or instructs inmate labor in preparation and serving of correctional facility meals following departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and work instructions. You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1 year or more of experience working in a food service role.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare, assists, or instructs inmate labor/team members in the preparation of a variety of food items following departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and Institution work instructions.
• Handle production paperwork and/or sanitation paperwork essential to comply with facility procedures.
• Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of all food service equipment and work areas; confirm that proper safety and sanitation practices are followed.
• Follow prescribed institution requirements in all preparation, oversight, and serving of correctional facility meals.
• Follow assigned institution housekeeping and safety practices as instructed.
• Store food and supplies following instructions.
• Perform in high-volume food production facilities preparing food for large groups.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
